All breakfast is not made equally, unfortunately. Sugary, starchy, fatty breakfasts are not only criminal to your hips, but they simply don't give you the energy you should have and could have during the morning. So, sorry to burst your bubble but you may want to put down the muffin, the bagel, and/or the Lucky Charms. These kinds of breakfast foods contribute to a world of energy spikes followed by crashes and cravings—the same thing your coffee (or God forbid, energy drink) does.
Upgrade your breakfast to include protein and good fats. My typical breakfast includes a piece of fruit and my Shakeology. If I’m feeling the need for more fuel, I’ll have an egg or a handful of almonds. Of course, if I have time I love making omelets, or having a serving of steel cut oats and fruit.
Regardless of the fact that I’ve never been a coffee person, I never "need" or desire caffeine, because I do my best to properly energize myself from the start of the day. Shakeology definitely helps with that, because of its abundance of nutrients. And I love tea, but these days I just have the occasional cup when I have a moment to enjoy a little tea time.
Starting your morning right can make a HUGE difference in your day.
