I was telling a friend one night, that for the last two and a half years things just keep getting better and better for me, and it freaks me out sometimes, because I think that it can’t possibly last. Something horrible is bound to happen. But then I think, no, it’s okay. I’ve been tested before, and I’ve been through hell, so I can take on anything anyone has the balls to throw at me.
So, I started telling this friend about a couple new opportunities I’m taking on this last semester of law school, and how excited I am about them. He said, “I don’t think that everything that happens to you is necessarily good or bad, I think it’s just good because that’s how you see it.” That made me smile.
Perhaps he’s right. After all, I do strongly believe that “It’s not what you look at that matters, it’s what you see”—Henry David Thoreau. But don't just see the glass half full, see it and drink it.
Cheers to world domination—long live the Spice Girls!
