I now understand why people love autumn so much. It’s the colors! And getting cozy. When the leaves turn it looks like the earth is on fire in the most majestic and effervescent way. The golds, and the reds…oh the reds…autumn red might be one of my new favorite colors. It’s absolutely brilliant. I often find myself smiling like an idiot just staring at all the colors as I’m driving. Actually, I’m smiling like an idiot just thinking about them right now. ![]() And now that my body is starting to get accustomed to the cooler temperatures, I’m quite enjoying myself. It actually warmed up a bit this last week, though. When it first got really, really cold a couple of weeks ago, I was telling a friend, that I need to find a few good pairs of tights, because my legs are starting to freeze. His response was, “It’s long handle time in Tennessee! Lol, that ‘s an old time term for long underwear…” I’m glad he clarified the meaning of that term, because I thought he was referring to alcohol, and I thought, why yes, I could use an extra handle of Jack! But you know what, the incredible beauty of autumn and my nice array of tea have made my first real autumn a delightful experience…so far anyways! I have the best teas. Check this out: Dragonfruit Devotion, CocoCaramel Sea Salt, Zingiber Ginger Coconut, and White Chocolate Peppermint. Yup, I’m totally stocked up on a most fantastic array of teas. And of course I have my collection of English teas, but I can’t be brewing that every day anymore, as I am trying to get my iron levels up. (Yep, in case you didn’t know, caffeine interferes with iron absorption.) People always talk about summer loving, but I’m feeling a whole lot of love this autumn. I think something about the trees turning that sort of reminds me of the brilliance of life and love, and how things are always changing. And that change is beautiful, even when it’s hard. Eventually, these leaves will fall, and make way for new life in the spring. But for now they stand like a blaze of fire. When winter gets here, I will definitely be counting on tights, tea (lots of it!), and knee high socks to get me through the colder months. We’ll see. In any case, I’m looking forward to it. BIG LOVE & HUGS Love, Justine
