I am no doubt the ultimate optimist, always looking on the bright side and finding the silver lining. I don't have time for party poopers raining on my parade--there is too much life to be lived and enjoyed. So, as I was having coffee with a friend, who had a pretty shitty 2017, I said to her a common response one might say in such situations, "Well, it can only get better from here!"
Then she told me why she stopped believing in that sentiment and I realized she is right. It's a bunch of bologna. As long as you're still living and breathing, bad things can continue to happen in you're life--big or small--and the only thing you can do is to keep moving forward. Forward and positively, I say, and that is what matters.
No matter how we prepare and plan for various events and situations in our life, we can never really know what is going to happen. So the best we can do is to move forward and positively and try to make the most out of each day. Some days that'll mean slaying your priority and to-do lists, and other days it may mean taking a step back and taking a brain break--maybe staying in bed and Netflixing all day. Yes, I totally believe that "lazy" days and/or self-care days are necessary, and sometimes that's how you make the most out that day.
So remember, things can get worse or bad things can keep happening, but YOU can make the most out of anything. Make it work for you. Move forward and positively.
BIG LOVE & HUGS
