Thanks JT for dressing appropriately tonight. Good job. You looked great, except your bow tie looked a little sloppy and large, but your hair looked great. And good job Tom Ford. Love Tom Ford.
When I saw Adele, I felt like she must be in an extremely happy place in her life right now, because she didn’t wear black! I can’t say I loved her dress though—the print was a bit overwhelming and oriental grandmother looking, and the too matchy shoes were a no no—but I don’t care. I love her! She, Ellie Goulding, and I need to do tea some time.
Tay Tay’s dress—sexy Greek goddess. Good job J Mendel.
Carrie Underwood was perfection in Robert Cavalli.
Janelle Monae, was a darling in her sleek Moschino tuxedo. I love the gold details on the jacket collar. Great manicure too girl!
Florence Welch looked like she stepped off the Wizard of Oz set, and forgot to take off her Wicked Witch of the West. I love Givenchy, especially for their boldness and artfulness, but this one was not such a favorite of mine.
Estelle’s dress was phenomenal. She designed it herself. I always say that you have to be careful with print, because you have to know your body—and you also have to avoid looking like grandma or a 60’s flower power girl. She did good though. I LOVEthe print, and the navy blue and coral mix of colors. She bared a little midriff, but otherwise it was quite conservative, which I think was a smart choice since the print spoke loudly enough without being obnoxious. Bravo, lady.
Uhh…did Kaley Cuoco not read the dress code on her invitation?? She looked cute, but she just looked like she was going out on any old night.
Now…Natasha Beddingfield looked so incredibly lovely in her red lacey gown. The metal belt around her waist brought it together exquisitely.
Gah, I can’t stand Jack White’s hair. He’s got like major creeper status hair. But, I guess when you’re as talented as he is, it doesn’t matter what your hair looks like.
I’m sorry J.Lo. You did not bring it this time. She looked like she just came from the block and pulled whatever random piece of fabric she found from a pile of scraps at a warehouse’s dumpster. I’m also really tired of this super tight pulled back hair with bun on top of the head look. It’s like, are you channeling your inner ballerina or your inner sumo wrestler? P.S. pointy Reptar nails, even with glitter applied to them, are a no no. So many people are doing the point scary nails though…*sigh*
John Mayer’s blue velvet jacket—I don’t know about this one dude. Maybe if there was some other lining to the jacket, but it was just one solid piece of bright royal blue velvet—kinda reminded me of a badly dressed groom or prom date. I give him bonus points for stepping outside of the box though. He looked like he was there to have a good time, and that’s what matters.
I thought Sting looked very nice, like a rockstar Lord. Some might question the scarf, but I think it’s great. Besides, it’s cold in L.A. today!
What the eff Redfoo? NO. Just NO.
Dierks’ pants are getting’ too skinny. He’s not a very big guy, but he doesn’t need to shop in the children’s section.
fun. also really loves super skinny pants, but that’s just part of their look. I can’ say I love the shoes without socks look, but I like their shoes, the rest of their outfits, and I just love these guys. I always have fun listening to fun. They’re so freakin’ cute, too!
Ed Sheeran! I just adore him! I would’ve liked to have seen better shoes on him, but I almost don’t care. I love him! Someone should’ve straightened his tie though…
I really like music award shows, for dresses like Kimbra’s. It was wacky—like an exploded ballerina costume.
You know, I always love Beyonce for her boldness with fashion—but I think she was a little underdressed for the Grammys in her pantsuit. She looked great, but not quite appropriate for the night.
I think the only thing people noticed about Katy Perry’s spring melon green dress was that the cut-out highlighted her very own pair of melons. I thought she still looked quite lovely though. It gave off a bit of a retro vibe, and in fact, she said that she was inspired by Priscilla Presley, so it makes sense.
Rhianna was a vision in red in Azzedine Alaia couture. Definitely a whole lot better than that White fluffy pornstar jammies number she had on last year!
O my gah, Gwen Stefani – GORGEOUS!
Every time I see John Paul White, I just want to hug him and walk through a haunted house mansion with him. I don’t know why. He just reeks of cool-silent-awesome.
I really liked that a lot of the guys were wearing tie clips. I don’t know, the clip just gives a bit of a retro vibe, and like they actually cared about their outfit.
Fun fact I learned tonight: Allison Krauss leads all females with 27 Grammys. Yeehaw!
BIG LOVE & HUGS
