This was hands down the best Grammy Awards in such a long time. I was really surprised and impressed with the number of gimmick-less performances. It was great!
Elton John and Ed Sheerhan. I could’ve stopped watching after that performance. But actually I really wanted to see fun. and Mumford and Sons play as well. Still, I’m speechless.
fun.!!!! I LOVE fun.!!!! They’re so damn FUN!!!!!!!!!
Holy holy. Mumford and Sons. This was their year. It totally was, and rightfully so.
How do you not love JT. Justin Timberlake is the guy with whom everyone wants to be friends. Plus, he’s still got the moves.
Maroon 5 an Alicia Keys—HOT HOT HOT.
Rhianna and Mikky Ekko were mesmerizing. I think we’re used to seeing Rhianna put on big elaborate performances, and she always rocks it, but I loved this stripped down performance. It was simply beautiful.
The Black Keys killed it.
Kelly Clarkson nailed it.
The Bob Marley tribute was incredible.
The Lumineers owned it.
Jack White…Oh Jack. Jack makes music magic period. When he sings and plays, his ugly hair and pasty white skin become invisible, and he just becomes the hottest man on the planet.
I’m also so glad Hunter Hayes got to play, even if it was just for a chorus, because the world needs to know how talented this kid is.
Now what’d y’all think of Carrie’s tech-fashion? I’ve heard that it’s been making a splash on Paris runways. At first it looked cheesy, but then as she got deeper into the song, it was pretty cool.
Cheers to great music, and the people who make it. I hope we don’t get lost in this digital world, and forget what instruments sound like. Based on tonight’s performances, I think we’ll be alright.
BIG LOVE & HUGS
