All good things must come to an end, and alas...I can cancel my Hulu subscription.  Just kidding...well, I probably could, but that's not what's important here.  What's important, is that  The Mindy Project has come to end.  That show is actually the reason I subscribed to Hulu in the first place.  I've loved this show from the get-go, and Mindy Kaling is probably my spirit animal.
I was excited to watch the series finale, because I wanted to know how it would all end, but at the same time I had to emotionally prepare myself to bid adieu to my favorite weekly TV pick me up.  I don't think I've ever felt so satisfied after a series finale.  It ended perfectly--just like a romantic comedy--and sure I'll miss Mindy Lahiri, but the ending left me feeling ready to move on.  Plus, if ever I'm in need of a dose of Mindy Lahiri, I suppose I can just re-watch episodes via Hulu. Thank you Mindy Kaling for this most hiliariously, inspiring, bright, and kickass show.

As I reflect on all the laughs and love this show filled me with, here's  a re-cap of why Mindy and this show are simply BADASS:
  1. #LADYBOSS:  Mindy Lahiri and Mindy Kaling are THE ultimate lady bosses.  As outrageous and outlandish as Dr. Mindy Lahiri can be, she is ultimately one great example of a lady boss, balancing life, career, and love.  She also never let's anyone or anything get in the way of her being great and doing what she's passionate about. She's intelligent and she cares about the work she does and lives she affects.  Mindy Kaling is the definition of "gumption."  She created the ultimate leading lady role for herself, when Hollywood didn't and DOESN'T typically have quality roles for women, minorities, and non-sample size folks.
  2. Laughter, Lots of Laughter:  The writing is so funny and brilliant.  The fact that Mindy Lahiri's character comes off at times daft, first-class, and superficially "girly-girl" is part of the brilliance of the whole story.  There's a bit of slapstick comedy integrated in the story, and Mindy herself often winds up in funny situations and positions.
  3. Wardrobe:  I want to raid her closet. Period.  It's so bright and awesome.
  4. FOOD:  Need I say more?
  5. FRIENDSHIP:  The boundary-less camaraderie among the characters is what friendship is all about.  And it adds to more hilarity.
  6. Danny's Unsuspecting Dance Moves: It's the best.
  7. Love & Romance:  It's what makes the world go round, and it's what makes the doctors in Shulman & Associates go round.
  8. Blunt Honesty:  Mindy Lahiri is so bluntly honest I need her to be in my life for reals...and in my head so that I can pull out that level of sass and slay all day, every day.
  9. Motivational:  Mindy is full of wise, motivating words, especially for herself, which ultimately transpires through the tele and into my own mind...like when she needed to remind herself that she's a warrior.
  10. Diversity:  The Mindy Project shows Hollywood how to be diverse without shoving it down everyone's throats and forcing it in a way that inevitably makes minorities uncomfortable.  Yes, The Mindy Project is fictitious, but so much of it I could actually relate to.
  11. Keeping it Real:  Mindy always keeps it real.
