Judy Dench Stuns Again in Philomena

I finally watched this INCREDIBLE film.   Wow, it was so moving, and Judy Dench is just a tiny bundle of ginormous love and class.  I don't think I've ever seen this side of her, and I absolutely fell in love with her even more.  ​

This beautiful film tells the true story of Philomena Lee's 50 year long search for her son.  Finally, with the help of Martin Sixsmith, the journalist who wrote the book to which this film was based, Philomena finds her son.  I don't want to completely spoil the story for you if you haven't seen it, so I'll leave it at that.

All I can say is that this was a very touching story, and this little old Catholic woman teaches us all an important lesson about love.  Love is not prejudice, and it never ends.

We Catholics often get a bad rap for the controversies highlighted in the media.  What the media doesn't ever mention is what our faith actually teaches us.  I think the most important lesson the Catholic faith teaches us is about love, and Ms. Philomena Lee is the perfect embodiment of that lesson.
